So, it has been a busy few weeks around here. My family went on a lovely vacation and I have had a bunch of great photo shoots that I need to post on the blog.
The first one I want to share is an idea I tossed around with Marissa of Adeva Salon and Spa in Oberlin. I wanted to take the idea of a "Trash the Dress" session, but instead of a bride wearing her wedding dress, I would take some of my favorite recent seniors and take them out in their prom dresses. To tell the truth, while I love the images often obtained during a TTD session, I have been hesitant to potentially ruin an expensive wedding dress. So a prom dress was perfect because the girls would probably NOT be wearing them again and if some of the dresses got ruined, it wouldn't be the end of the world.
I spoke with Marissa about my idea and she got super excited and volunteered her team's hair and makeup services for the photo shoot. We decided to go a bit edgy with the hair and keep the makeup very pretty and still young since these are young women. We found some great non-traditional sites to take the photos and we had a blast!
